We are thrilled to announce that Alicia Guevara will join America Needs You as CEO on September 16th.
Alicia joins us from Big Brothers Big Sisters of NYC, New York’s historic and largest youth mentoring organization, where she served as its first female chief executive officer and worked tirelessly to help young people achieve their best and highest potential.
Alicia brings 30 years of deep knowledge and experience leading nonprofits, and has dedicated much of her career to the passionate pursuit of social justice for young people around the issues of access and inclusion. With her powerful voice she has become a change agent, influencing public policy and creating large-scale impact throughout her career.
A proud first-generation college student herself, Alicia is deeply and personally connected to ANY’s mission. She is a graduate of Columbia University, and earned an executive education certificate for senior leaders in nonprofit management from Columbia Business School.
Alicia is the transformative leader we need as we work to expand our critical impact. As we envision 2024 and beyond, we look forward to growing our Fellows Program, and to scaling FirstGenU to provide broad access to our life-changing curriculum.
