America Needs You provides Fellows with multiple opportunities to build and enhance their professional development skills. Join us at a Saturday workshop or monthly Career Roundtable Experience the magic of our community up close!
Attend a Saturday workshop for our NY, NJ, IL, or CA sites where Fellows and Mentor Coaches engage in critical career development content. Provide insight from your own background and career and get an opportunity to network with Mentor Coaches from a wide array of industries.
Career Roundtables are opportunities to engage in national professional development discussions with a small group of Professionals. Professionals will share their experience and insight according to the month’s topic. Join and gain new perspectives on topics such as, “Being Black at Work,” “Bouncing Back After Rejection,” and “Purposeful Pivots.”
Career Roundtables occur 4 PT/6 CT/7 ET. Guest Speakers will be announced at least one week before the event.
This opportunity will allow Fellows to connect 1:1 with Volunteers across professional backgrounds. We will kick of the session with a practice round of Elevator Pitches, and then break into speed networking. Fellows will learn about important skills in their industry of choice, understand possible career/education paths, and practice their informational interviewing skills.
