After launching a public search in December 2021 and assessing 248 candidates, we are happy to announce ANY’s new CEO! Jake Moreno Coplon will be joining ANY on June 1st.
Jake is joining us after over a decade at the Posse Foundation, a nonprofit that supports students from college access through career, where he managed program implementation and evaluation across 12 sites. He oversaw the creation of the first virtual PossePlus Retreats, the organization’s annual interactive conferences on diversity and other social and political topics, collaborating with 58 partner colleges and universities and hosting 5,000 nationwide students. He also led Posse trainings and consulting projects nationwide, including DEI training and education for executives, volunteers, and students (topics included anti-racism, racial literacy, gender discrimination and bias, and allyship). Through COVID-19, he helped the organization shift to virtual programming and create virtual tools, resulting in 22 new partnerships and a 90 percent graduation rate for students. Before joining the Posse Foundation, Jake spent three years in programming and acquisitions at Comedy Central.
A Posse scholarship winner from Brooklyn, New York, Jake earned his bachelor’s degree from Middlebury College and a master’s in human rights studies from Columbia University. His graduate research focused on activist communities and their stance toward U.S. school desegregation policy reforms.
Our current CEO, Marianna Tu, will be with ANY through May 14th. We thank her for over a decade of impact at ANY, beginning as a 2011 Mentor Coach, look forward to welcoming her to the alumni community, and wish her all the best as she pursues medical school!
“Growing up in a working-class neighborhood in Brooklyn, New York, I saw firsthand the barriers faced by talented young people—even after they were admitted to college. Over my ten years with The Posse Foundation, I have worked to create pathways for young people who historically have lacked access to mentorship and leadership track positions in the workforce.
As a country, we must create a more equitable road to success for first-generation college students.

When I think about who I’d want setting policy, leading institutions, and building the future they will live in, ANY’s Fellows give me solace and hope.
