Mentor Coach Spotlight:

Mohammed is currently serving as a mentor to the amazing Fellow Adriana. His time with ANY began when, as an undergrad, he became a Fellow in 2016. He is now a Mentor Coach for the 2023 cohort. Mohammed currently works at Accenture, focusing on strategy work for their large-scale technology clients.

“A moment that really inspired me as a Mentor Coach was giving a PPV shout-out to my Fellow when she was able to secure her internship offer for the summer of 2024. The reason this was so monumental was that it came full circle when my mentor gave me a PPV shout-out for getting my very first internship back in 2016. He used to tell me that when you achieve something, be sure to celebrate that with those who helped you, and being able to continue that tradition is something I aim to do with the ANY family.”

Mohammed a Mentor Coach

My favorite memory would be going out and trying new foods with my mentee, Adriana. The reason this is so important is that not only am I able to connect with her on a professional level but also on a personal level to get to know the student I’m mentoring truly. I’m still learning new things that she enjoys all the time, who she is as a person, and the goals she aims to achieve.”

Mohammed is motivated by how driven Adriana is when it comes to achieving her goals. It reminds him of how motivated he was as a first-generation college student to get to where he is now.

“In theory, I’m becoming the person I needed when I was younger and aim to continue to put 110% into everything I do just as Adriana does. As mentors, we provide our knowledge and guidance to our mentees, but we also learn and grow as they do.”
